OUR OFFERINGS SET US APART
The Organizing Center is a training home for organizers and organizations working to build a base, and the power of, Black and Brown, poor and working class, women and gender-oppressed people. Our offerings develop the fundamental skills of organizing (like one-on-ones and leadership development) as well as the resilience practices that support organizers to meet their organizing and political commitments for the long-haul. All of our work is rooted in the belief that people power is necessary for us to win and possible for us to build.

COACHING & CAMPAIGN SUPPORT
Sometimes you need one-on-one support. Coaching sessions are designed to meet each organizer or Director at their current level. Whether you are a new organizer who could use support to develop a work-plan or debrief organizing conversations, or you are a more experienced organizer looking to develop long-term campaign plans or to become a better supervisor we have the experienced, coaches to help you reach the next level.

SKILL BUILDING WORKSHOPS
We offer pre-scheduled and custom workshops to meet the needs of base building organizations. Our pre-scheduled workshops are for you if:

You work at/ are a base building organization that primarily works with Black and Brown, poor and working class, women and gender-oppressed people

You want to have time to practice organizing skills like one-on-one conversations or leadership development

You want to connect with organizers from other organizations
Consider custom workshops if:

Your campaign challenges are regionally specific and need to be addressed in more detail

PEER COHORTS
We work with organizations for 3-12 months, diving deep into the challenges of developing and maintaining resilient base building practices.
This program is right for you if you want to make a longer-term commitment to supporting multiple staff in your organization. ​We're ready to help you expand your base, develop leadership, and build power.

RETREAT FACILITATION
We have a team of facilitators who are ready to skillfully move your team through a process that is participatory and supports group cohesion. Some examples of retreats we have facilitated include:

Conditions assessments (what is the state of our work? how do those conditions shape our future plans?)

Re-grounding retreats (supporting staff to build clarity about the purpose and work of the organization)
